I then started Nero Vision, went to 'Make DVD.' -> 'DVD Video' -> 'Add Video Files.', selected an ' .avi' file in my C: drive (size is 4.37GB thus less than the capacity of a DVD) and after 10 minutes. After I re-started the computer only the following processes were active:

Ok, I've done all you suggested and incredibly the problem still persists.ġ) Original files as well as destination files set for my C: drive Ģ) I didn't de-install Norton yet but I configured Windows to a clean boot by going to msconfig, in the general tab left only 'Load System Services' checked and in the Services tab I've hidden 'all Microsoft Services' and unchecked everything else. Only in this case the problem didn't happen. I did a test by starting Windows in Safe Mode. As said before, if I proceed with the process of selecting the original file and strat compiling or burning the video, the program also stops suddenly after the same amount of time.

If I just start Nero Vision, select 'Make DVD', 'DVD Video' and 'Add Video Files.' and live the application with the file selection window open (without even selecting any file) the application simply vanishes without any error message after about 5 minutes.
